Assistant Professor
Assistant Professor with the Department of English at Union Christian College since 2007. In the course of her close to 25-year- long academic journey, she has encouraged critical thinking through classroom dialogue among undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has mentored students to undertake action-oriented projects and sustainable outreach activities to support themselves and the planet.
She is committed to the belief that literature classrooms can function as strong social action labs by engaging student voices in a dialogue, to create more equitable spaces around us.
Before joining the Union Christian College, she had held contractual teaching positions at premier academic institutions in Thiruvananthapuram and across Ernakulam for more than five years.
Her areas of interest include Literary Criticism, Modernist Fiction, Post- Colonial and Gender Studies. In addition to guiding numerous student research projects and seminars, she has contributed her expertise in curriculum designing and other course requirements as member of PG Board of Studies. She is currently a part-time Research Scholar with the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
